Orbit Earth Expo launched in Georgia in 2012. Based in Atlanta, the program delivers content to elementary and middle schools all over the state. Teachers and administrators love the alignment to Georgia Standards of Excellence and the unforgettable reference for students. These hard to teach concepts in astronomy are a snap for students when they are recalling information for the Georgia Milestones after experiencing Orbit Earth Expo!
Orb, along with his sun, George, and his appropriately scaled moon, travel to schools with their teacher friends, Carrie Pierson and Kache Winston. Carrie was born in Burlington, Vermont, raised in Buffalo, NY, and attended college at the University of Dayton in Ohio. She graduated with a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education and has ten years of teaching experience in classrooms across the country in California, Colorado, Missouri and Georgia. Born and raised in College Park, Kache has always carried her love of creativity and community wherever she goes. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and is now pursuing a Master’s in Elementary Education, blending her performance background with her passion for teaching. Kache believes learning should be fun, interactive, and engaging, sparking curiosity through innovative activities. Sharing the magic of these STEM programs with tens of thousands of students each year is rewarding and fun!
