Based in Dayton, OH and Chicago, IL, the program delivers content to elementary and middle schools all over the state. Teachers and administrators love the alignment to Indiana Academics Standards and the unforgettable reference for students. These hard to teach concepts in astronomy are a snap for students when they are recalling information for the ISTEP+ tests after experiencing Orbit Earth Expo!

Orb, along with his Sun George and his appropriately scaled moon, travel to schools with their teacher friends, Hannah Fischer and Ellie Flessner. Hannah was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Northern Kentucky University, where she also competed on the women’s soccer team. She then taught both fourth and fifth grade for five years in Northern Kentucky public schools. She has also been an enrichment program teacher who shares her love of sports, art, and nature through engaging and fun classes! Ellie was born in Chicago Illinois and attended Oberlin College in Ohio, graduating with a concentration in education. With over a decade of teaching experience in half a dozen countries, Ellie has made it a mission to bring science (and joy!) into classrooms around the globe. Having taught at almost every level, from pre-k to Ph.D. candidates, Ellie is a firm believer in the power of sensory play and immersive learning as a tool to effectively instill a lifelong love of science for students. Sharing the magic of these STEM programs with tens of thousands of students each year is rewarding and fun!
