CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA – Orb loves to visit the kids at J.N.Fries Middle School each year – this was our fourth trip to the school! Our teachers have a blast because these students know their STEM – you can tell they have some major experience with the engineering design cycle!
We rotated and revolved, created eclipses and moon phases, and these kids were so knowledgeable that they quickly figured our some of our model’s limitations – you know that models can’t get everything right, or they would be the real thing! Can you recall why our model looks like we have solar and lunar eclipses every single month? We all know that’s not right.
